Imprint Press

Art–and life–necessarily require collaboration. This belief is a passion which led to Imprint Press, a publishing project dedicated to labor-intensive limited edition book collaborations of text and image. In  dear admiration of the collaborations of artists such as John Cage and Merce Cunningham, Mei-Mei Berssenbrugge and Kiki Smith, the small works of this press aim to contribute to these ways of making art, of making life. Blending computer technology with hand crafts, books are made in collaboration across distances, bodied in the form of gifts that show up unsolicited in the mailboxes of people whose artwork and lifework we could not be without
